Tournament Chairman’s Report

Check the Tournament Calendar for 2026 elsewhere in this Bulletin for the list of 2026 Rio Hondo Men’s Club Tournaments and for the entry info for the January 24, 2026, “One Ball, Two Ball - Two Man Team” tournament. The format is the following: Each two-man team scores one ball gross and net on the odd-numbered holes, and two balls gross and net on the even-numbered holes. There is an eight (8) stroke maximum differential between partners for this event (no guests; just RHMC members). Sign-up forms are in this bulletin and in the Pro Shop, or you can sign up online, or just text or email me.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

The entire 2026 calendar is in this newsletter; the events are the same as 2025 EXCEPT the November tournament will now be an individual ball, Stableford scoring tournament (something new….). On February 28th, we will have the annual President’s Cup Individual Ball Tourney. This is an easy tournament format – just playing straight-up individual golf, so enter and shoot low!

Please sign up early for each event in 2026, starting this month, so that the Pro Shop can anticipate how many tee times to reserve for us. We have had some tournaments fill up early in the past, and there have been disappointed players who waited too long to sign up. Although the deadline to submit an entry is late morning on Wednesday, the week of the tournament, the allotted tee times may fill up before that.
