2025 Rio HOndo Cup
Rio Hondo Cup is a season long points race for Rio Hondo Men's Club members. Points are awarded to Gross and Net winners in each monthly tournament, and the amount of points awarded depends on the tournament type. Participants are divided into three flights based on their handicap index as of January, and this grouping remains for the entire year. At the end of the season, the top 10 players in each group receive a payout from a total prize pool of $6,000.

The tournament is open to all Rio Hondo Golf Club members in goodstanding, with valid handicaps.

In each monthly tournament, points will be awarded to Gross and Net winners. The amount will be determined according to the type of tournament it is.
Individual Tournaments:
First Place: 750 points
Second Place: 600 points
Third Place: 500 points
Fourth Place and lower: 100 points
Two and Three-Man Tournaments:
First Place: 500 points
Second Place: 400 points
Third Place: 300 points
Fourth Place and lower: 100 points
Four-Man Tournaments:
First Place: 400 points
Second Place: 300 points
Third Place: 200 points
Fourth Place and lower: 100 points

Players are placed into 3 flights based on January handicap index:
A Group: 0 – 11.9
B Group: 12 – 17.9
C Group: 18.0 and above
Group assignments do not change throughout the season.

Accurate scorecards are mandatory.

$6,000 total prize pool: $2,000 per flight.
Top 10 in each group earn:
1st: $400
2nd: $300
3rd: $250
4th: $225
5th: $200
6th: $175
7th: $150
8th: $125
9th: $100
10th: $75

Ties resolved by comparing most 1st place finishes, then 2nd place, etc.

Players must follow golf etiquette: pace of play, divot/mark repairs, and respect for others.

Resolved by the tournament committee; their decisions are final.

Members joining after January still participate but only earn points from their joining date onward.
