Rio Hondo Golf Club - Local Rules

Balls striking electrical wires must be replayed - No penalty.
(Relief from structure if it interferes with stance or swing. No relief from line of sight.)

Manmade rocks are an integral part of a golf course - No relief.

Sprinkler Heads - If the ball comes to rest within 2 club lengths of a sprinkler head and the sprinkler head is within 2 club lengths of the green, the golfer is entitled to one club length relief no nearer the hole. No penalty

Protective screens, towers, and paths are Obstructions - Golfer is entitled to one club length relief no nearer the hole. No Penalty. No Relief from Line of Sight.

OB - Maintenance yard, perimeter fences, area between marked baffle poles and fences on #5, #6, #9. Cart path on the left side and behind #2 green. Cart path on the right side and back of #18 green, range fence. (OB measured from outside of poles on range fence)

Fence around lake on #16 is Obstruction - Golfer is entitled to one club length relief, no nearer the hole. No Penalty

Alternative stroke and distance - In the event of a lost ball or a golfer’s ball is OB. Golfers may follow the stroke and distance penalty (1 stroke penalty and replay shot from last position), or they may proceed with the following:
The player can drop a ball in the vicinity of where the ball was lost or OB (including the fairway) with a 2-stroke penalty.
